The Event occured in 1990, changing our reality forever...
AND PLAGUING IT WITH... ANOMALIES.
The year is 2000, it's been 10 years since The Event. For some, life continues as usual, not noticing the horrors all around them. Half of all life forms were exterminated in The Event. Life has rebound, distorted, anomalous. We at the NORRM's refuse to forget our halcyon -- the lives we once led. Our volunteer organization is determined to bring the world back to what it once was. No matter how impossible the task, no matter what unspeakable horrors and anomalies we must face... at any cost, we will return the world to the norm. That is our mission.

Welcome to the Analog Files FAQ!Analog Files is a WIP, adult horror-comedy comic series inspired by the Analog Horror genre!
• Like any analog horror media, Analog Files has aesthetics of unreality and unnerving paranoia. Read responsibly and take care of yourself. Do not feel obligated to enjoy this work! Horror is not for everyone.
WHAT IS ANALOG HORROR?
If you don't know, I'm surprised you're here. But I really appreciate it! <3
Analog Horror (spelled Analogue if you're British) is a niche subgenre of horror that first appeared in the mid-2010s. Its defining characteristic is being presented through analog technology. It also incorporates aspects of Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) and Found Footage, where the audience is somewhat tricked into believing that the story is real. And has roots in Creepypasta. It can take many forms, such as cryptic messages, emergency broadcasts, government records, and instructional videos.Analog Horror deals with themes of the unfamiliar familiar, nostalgia, the uncanny, and disillusion. It juxtaposes the things we find safe, such as history, and our homes, with incomprehensible terrors. The format of a standard analog horror series (text on a screen on Youtube.com) is easy to mass produce, which has caused it to be a useful resource for young artists, but has also caused it to be exploited for trash entertainment. Sometimes I love trash.EXAMPLES (recommendations on how to familiarize yourself with the genre):One of my personal favorite Analog Horror series (due to it being enjoyably bad) is The Smile Tapes. One of the first Analog Horror series was Local 58.A very popular Analog Horror series is The Mandela Catalogue.A very popular topic in the Analog Horror community is The Backrooms. Check out the series by Kane Pixels.A highly-esteemed Analog Horror series is Gemini Home Entertainment. One of my personal favorite Analog Horror series (due to being... good? but also funny?) is Monument Mythos and The Nixonverse.
What are your favorite Analog Horrors? Hate the ones I recommended? Disagree with my definition of the genre? I'd love to hear!
SCRAPPED & WIP PAGES
Soooooooo... Analog Files isn't a thing yet. Thanks for being one of the first fans! Here's a few test pages where a kid gets his organs ripped out by a kitty cat!
Heres some sketchy WIP pages that I originally wanted to include in File One. They were made to give the audience a brief introduction to the main characters! But I later decided to completely skip over any character introductions in File One.
